In the northern reaches of Eratiath lies the icy expanse of Everfrost, a region of relentless snow and biting winds. It remains the historical homeland of the dwarven people, whose capital, Though Maldur, stands resolute on the southern border, as it has since ancient times. The dwarves split their efforts between delving deep into their mining tunnels, repelling orc incursions from The Lone-lands, and defending against the perils lurking beneath the ice. To the north, the snow giants, towering beings of frost and might, have forged their own city, Winterfrost, a crystalline stronghold carved into the heart of the glaciers, where they live in insular harmony with the frozen landscape.
The ceaseless snowstorms of Everfrost’s seemingly barren frostlands conceal entrances to some of Eratiath’s most terrifying lairs. In the Temple of Valaark, dragons jealously guard their ancient hoards. The dungeon known as Black Ice Deep teems with precious minerals, tempting those brave or foolhardy enough to face the Spider Queen within her shadowy domain. And the Tower of the Vanished harbors all manner of undead and ghosts, some believed to safeguard a more ancient evil lurking in its depths.
